Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB) refers to any deviation from typical menstrual bleeding patterns—whether heavy, prolonged, irregular, infrequent/frequent or unpredictable. AUB is often a symptom associated with conditions such as Uterine Polyps, Adenomyosis, Fibroids (also known as Leiomyoma), in rare cases, Endometrial Cancer, Coagulopathies, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), and menstrual changes associated with hormone use, e.g., contraception.
